Job summary

Baker Commodities, Inc. is seeking a wastewater process operator to safely and efficiently operate a wastewater treatment system and associated laboratory analyses. The role requires a Massachusetts wastewater license and basic math/computer skills, with on‑the‑job training provided.

Responsibilities include monitor pre-treatment, sample preparation, equipment maintenance, forklift operation, and strict adherence to procedures. OA% environmental and safety standards must be followed.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Wastewater License Grade 2 or higher is required or preferred.
• 1–2 years of related work experience preferred; on‑the‑job training provided.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent; education in water/wastewater treatment and/or basic laboratory skills preferred.
• Ability to work overtime and adjust shift start/end times when needed.
• Math skills and basic computer/data entry ability.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Basic mechanical and repair skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor wastewater pre-treatment with a dissolved air flotation system.
• Perform various laboratory analyses and prepare samples for testing.
• Maintain records and monitor analysis results.
• Operate forklift and interact professionally with colleagues.
• Follow department and company procedures; maintain attendance and punctuality.
