CornerStone Medical is seeking an experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for a 13-week contract opportunity in an acute rehabilitation/med-surg setting in Dallas, TX. The role involves hands-on patient care for individuals recovering from strokes, amputations, and major procedures within a 50-bed rehabilitation unit.

You will administer medications, monitor vitals, perform assessments, and collaborate with RNs, physicians, and therapists to support recovery goals.

Qualifications

• Current Texas LVN/LPN license.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients recovering from strokes, amputations, major surgeries, and other complex conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.
• Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to the healthcare team.
• Perform assessments and document patient care accurately.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and rehabilitation goals.
• Monitor vital signs and recognize changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and other team members.
• Promote patient safety, comfort, dignity, and independence.
• Demonstrate strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.

Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – Acute Rehabilitation

Location: Dallas, TX
Position: LVN – Acute Rehabilitation / Med-Surg
Assignment: 13-Week Contract
Pay: $30/hour
Shift: Nights | 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
Hours: 36 hours/week guaranteed
Schedule: Every other weekend

This is an excellent opportunity for an LVN who enjoys working with patients recovering from significant medical events and major procedures, including stroke, amputations, and other complex surgical conditions. You’ll work as part of a collaborative nursing team providing hands-on patient care in a 50-bed rehabilitation unit.
