Job summary

PIH Health Whittier Hospital in California is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for the Transitional Care Unit on a full-time basis, 7am–7:30pm. You will provide direct patient care under the supervision of an RN, perform treatments and clerical duties within scope of practice.

Ideal candidates possess strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills, with a focus on patient/family education and safety.

• Demonstrated IV therapy and blood withdrawal skills.

Provides direct patient care under the direction/supervision of a registered nurse. Provides treatments, procedures and clerical duties as defined and within the legal boundaries of the Licensed Vocational Nurse Scope of Practice and accepts responsibility for individual nursing actions, competence, decisions and behavior in the course of vocational nursing practice.
