Sweetwater Care in Fowler, CA is seeking a licensed vocational nurse (LVN) to join our dedicated team on a PRN basis. New graduates are encouraged to apply, with a new pay scale and competitive compensation for qualified candidates.

As part of our family-owned facility, you will provide compassionate nursing care, administer medications and treatments, perform rounds with physicians when needed, and educate patients and families on care plans in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse certification in the state.
• One year of nursing experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Administer medications in accordance with facility policy.
• Administer treatments promptly and per policy.
• Receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders as allowed.
• Notifies departments of patient changes (room changes, LOA, admissions, discharge).
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Principal Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Company Infection Control Manual.
• Understands, participates and assists in implementing the Quality Improvement Program.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
• Notifies other Departments of patient changes, i.e., room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge, etc.
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer medications timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer treatments timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates ability to receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, if allowed by Nurse Practice Act
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as LPN in state
• One-year prior nursing experience preferred.
