Job summary

FullShift Staffing in Fowler, California is seeking licensed LVNs to join our care team on a per diem, part-time, or full-time basis. New graduates are encouraged to apply and may grow with our team while delivering nursing care within scope of practice.

The ideal candidate will follow physician orders, participate in quality improvement, and provide patient and family education, while adhering to state guidelines and center policies.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as LPN in state.
• One-year prior nursing management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of Infection Control Manual.
• Supports Quality Improvement Program.
• Uses Quality Life Manual for patient identification, placement and monitoring.
• Notifies other Departments of patient changes (room changes, LOA, admits, discharge).
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Administers medications timely per facility policy.
• Administrates treatments timely per facility policy.
• Receives, transcribes and carries out physician orders (if allowed by Nurse Practice Act).
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Objective

Provides nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient's needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies and procedures, and state, federal and local guidelines.

Principal Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Company Infection Control Manual.
• Understands, participates and assists in implementing the Quality Improvement Program.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.

• Conducts family and patient education.
