Job Overview

This role is suitable for an LVN/LPN interested in a Medical Assistant position, managing customer flow and assisting providers in a clinical setting. The role involves collaborative tasks within the scope of practice defined by Minnesota Boards, including patient rooming, immunizations, laboratory specimen collection, and possibly x-ray duties if qualified.

Responsibilities

1. Manage customer flow and assist with clinical and clerical tasks such as rooming, vitals, shots, and lab tests.
2. Provide patient support through communication, prescription refills, and support for clinical procedures.
3. Perform specific duties like phlebotomy, laboratory tests, and possibly x-ray operations if certified.

Requirements

• Minimum 1-year experience in primary care setting.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification.
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC).
• Experience with rooming, vitals, injections, EKGs, and working with adult and geriatric populations.
• Proficiency with Epic software.
• Prior work experience with North Memorial Health, Maple Grove Hospital, or Blaze Health LLC is preferred.
