The Anoka Metro Regional Treatment Center is looking for a caring and friendly Licensed Practical Nurse to join our nursing team! As the Licensed Practical Nurse you will assist in providing nursing care, treatment, instruction, and short-term psychiatric care to patients in a hospital level of care setting under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Responsibilities include:
- Complete daily nursing cares including administering and monitoring medications and treatments
- Performing basic medical treatments per medical practitioner orders
- Provide health information to individual patients
- Observe patients and complete focused assessments
- Provide report to Registered Nurses so that assessments, interventions, and follow-up of patient’s well-being is completed and documented.
- Interact respectfully with patients while maintaining appropriate boundaries
- Complete assigned admission/discharge forms within policy timelines
Anoka Metro Regional Treatment Center is a secure inpatient psychiatric hospital serving adults with mental illness in a large, campus-based setting. The population also includes individuals civilly committed for specialized care, such as competency for criminal court (Rule 20), emergency 48-hour bed holds, and co-occurring mental illness/chemical dependency. Located just 15 minutes north of the Twin Cities metro, this modern facility offers compassionate, person-centered care in a pleasant environment appreciated by patients and employees alike.
Minimum Qualifications
Possess or be eligible for licensure as a Practical Nurse in Minnesota. Future Practical Nurses who are within six (6) months of graduating and taking their NCLEX-LPN are encouraged to apply. Contingent job offers may be made upon successful completion of degree and passing of NCLEX-LPN.
