PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Pittsburgh is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join our inpatient nursing team, delivering direct patient care under a registered nurse and documenting data accurately. Requires current LPN/LVN licensure in the state, BLS certification (AHA), and IV certification within 90 days if required by policy.

Experience in inpatient medical-surgical care is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• IV certification within 90 days if state requires

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside nursing care under an RN on the unit
• Gather and report patient data; carry out orders

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) is responsible for providing appropriate nursing care, as directed by an RN on the nursing unit. Functions include gathering and reporting data, carrying out orders, and performing therapeutic procedures on patients in an age and population-appropriate manner, consistent with the policies, procedures, and guidelines of PAM Health. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Education and Training: Holds current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification required. BLS certification must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.

• Current IV Certification within 90 days of employment, if required per state regulations.
