Job summary

PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Richardson is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join our inpatient medical-surgical unit. You will provide nursing care under the direction of an RN, collect data, carry out orders, and perform therapeutic procedures for patients in an age-appropriate manner.

Current LPN/LVN licensure in the state, BLS (AHA) certification within 90 days, and IV certification within 90 days if required by state regulations are required.

Qualifications

• Holds current LPN/LVN licensure in the state where the hospital resides.
• Current BLS certification required; AHA approved within 90 days.
• IV Certification within 90 days if state regulations require it.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care as directed by an RN on the unit.
• Gather and report data, carry out orders, perform therapeutic procedures.
• Deliver care in an age- and population-appropriate manner per PAM Health policies.

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) is responsible for providing appropriate nursing care, as directed by an RN on the nursing unit. Functions include gathering and reporting data, carrying out orders, and performing therapeutic procedures on patients in an age and population-appropriate manner, consistent with the policies, procedures, and guidelines of PAM Health. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Education and Training: Holds current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification required. BLS certification must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.

• Current IV Certification within 90 days of employment, if required per state regulations.
  

Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required
