Job summary

CentralCare Incorporated is seeking a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide full-time Flight Medicine services at Joint Base San Antonio. This federal civilian contractor role supports military families, with a Monday–Friday 0700–1600 schedule and pay of $25.00/hour plus $5.42/hour for health and wellness, plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, active LVN/PN license, BLS certification, and ACLS for Cardiology LVNs;

Responsibilities

• Deliver care to diverse patients in a Flight Medicine setting.

• Accurately recognize, report, and document patient information.
• Administer prescribed medications and procedures per protocols.
• Observe and respond to patient needs including education.
• Recognize emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions.

Location: Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) – Lackland & Randolph

Position Overview

CentralCare Incorporated is seeking a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide full-time Flight Medicine services at Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA). This is an excellent opportunity to support our military community and their families as a federal civilian contractor.

Position Details

• Pay: $25.00/hour + $5.42/hour additional for health and wellness

• Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, Sick Leave

• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 0700–1600

• Contract Length: 1 Year Preferred (Opportunity to Extend)

Responsibilities

• Deliver care to diverse patient populations in a Flight Medicine setting.

• Complete patient care based on condition, using sound judgment to select appropriate procedures and treatments.

• Accurately recognize, report, and document relevant patient information.

• Administer prescribed medications (oral, topical, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and/or intravenous) and perform treatments per established protocols.

• Observe, identify, and respond to patient needs, including medication, equipment-assisted care, and patient/family education.

• Recognize urgent or emergent situations, seek assistance from RN and/or MD/DO, and initiate emergency interventions as directed.

Qualifications

• Education: Certificate; Graduate from an accredited nursing program approved by the State Board.

• License: Active, unrestricted LVN/PN license.

• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); ACLS required for Cardiology LVNs.

• Experience: Flight Medicine experience within the last three years.
