Job summary

Cerritos Vista Healthcare Center in Bellflower, CA is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for the AM shift on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have PCC experience and be capable of leading a clinical team in a subacute setting.

You will administer medications, monitor residents, and contribute to care plans while maintaining compliance with California LVN standards and infection control. This role emphasizes a people-first culture and collaborative teamwork.

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Vocational Nurse in California.
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 including Booster shots.
• Knowledge of long-term care patient needs.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to certified nursing assistants
• Oversee the care and well being of residents
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician
• Complete charting and treatment plans/physician orders, etc.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required
• Make rounds with physicians as requested/necessary
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan and implement and evaluate patient care
• Performs interviews to identify specific patient needs
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating changes in patient’s condition
• Collects, analyzes, and interprets information from health care members and documents
• Orient and welcome new residents and families
• Knowledge of Point Click Care (PCC)
• Other duties as assigned

Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Requirements

Depending on a number of factors, including, but not limited to location, regularly scheduled work shift, knowledge, skills, experience, and expertise.
