Job summary

Lifespace Communities in Amarillo, Texas, is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our mission-driven care team. You will participate with the interdisciplinary team to review, plan, coordinate and evaluate each resident’s care.

You will document resident conditions, report observations, administer medications, and initiate physician orders while coordinating admissions, discharges and transfers to deliver high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Certifications and LPN licensure required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Participate with interdisciplinary team to review, plan, coordinate and evaluate resident care.
• Document resident condition and nursing needs accurately and timely.
• Report pertinent observations regarding residents promptly.
• Develop, direct and monitor nursing assistant assignments based on census and care level.
• Execute treatments and document reactions to medications and treatments.
• Generate, prepare, administer and chart all medications.
• Initiate physician orders and coordinate care with families on medication changes.
• Coordinate admissions, discharges and transfers to deliver quality service.

• Establish protocol to ensure care plans are continually reviewed for updated and accurate data that represents the individuality of the resident.
• Coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers in order to deliver quality customer service.
