Job summary

Sierra Health and Wellness is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our 15-bed behavioral health facility in Orangevale, CA. This full-time role covers night shifts (NOCs) Sunday through Thursday, delivering individualized patient care under physician orders and maintaining accurate medical records.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day delivery of patient care.

• Prepare and monitor patient medications as ordered.
• Monitor and report adverse reactions to medications.
• Complete charting and care plans in accordance with policies.
• Follow infection control procedures and crisis management techniques.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and therapists.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions and crisis intervention activities.
• Maintain electronic medical records (EMR).

Our 15-bed, mental health facility is located in Orangevale, Ca. Our inpatient facility serves voluntary clients who receive specialized and personal care from our staff.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day delivery of patient care.
• Provides outstanding, individualized resident care and medical support to clients as needed.
• Prepare and review medical records and nurses' notes to evaluate the resident's physical and emotional status.
• Provide care according to the Physician's orders, care plans, established standards, policies and procedures.
• Prepare and monitor patient administered medications as ordered by the physician in accordance with nursing standards and facility policies.
• Monitors and reports adverse reactions to medications and treatment to the RN and/or Physician.
• Sign, date and perform all charting, record keeping and care plans in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Utilizes good infection control procedures. Utilizes behavioral management and crisis intervention techniques.
• Ensures compliance with State licensing standards and accreditation standards
• Adheres to and upholds the policies and procedures of the company.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions.
• Provide client assistance in crisis intervention situations.
• Maintains EMR.
• Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and occupational therapists.

Requirements

• Current Psychiatric Technician (PT) license or LVN
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.

Hourly: $36 - 44
