Job summary

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, LVNs participate in planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery.
• Interact with patient and significant others while maintaining the standard of professional nursing.
• Provide direct, individualized nursing care to patients with a predictable outcome based on the application of scientific nursing principles.
• Due to the broad range of medical conditions, LVNs must be well-versed in a large variety of health conditions.
• Participate in committee activities, surveys, and improvement initiatives.
• Uphold the standards of the Texas Nurse Practice Act and practice within defined scope.
