Job summary

AltaMed Health Services Corp. is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse in Los Angeles, CA to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician. The role includes vital signs, data gathering, medication administration, and patient treatments.

Minimum requirements include CA LVN licensure, graduation from an LVN program, and BLS certification. One year of LVN experience and geriatric care exposure are preferred; in-person, full-time position in Los Angeles.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited LVN school.
• Current CA LVN license issued by the State of California, Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians.
• A minimum of 1 year of LVN experience is preferred.
• Experience with geriatric patients is preferred.
• BLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross) certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician.
• Take vital signs and gather patient data; document findings.
• Administer medications as prescribed and render patient care/treatments.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort and respond to patient needs.
