Job summary

Brentwood Place Four is seeking a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse to provide resident care and direct nursing staff in a long-term care setting in Dallas, TX. The RN/LVN will develop care plans in collaboration with physicians and therapists, monitor staff, and ensure safety regulations are followed.

The position is full-time with a double weekend schedule (7AM-11PM on Saturday and Sunday) and employee benefits including a 401(k) plan and health, dental, vision, life, and other

Qualifications

• Licensed Vocational Nursing program graduate.
• 2 years in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred but not required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Maintains resident care in a safe environment.
• Makes nursing diagnoses to guide care strategy.
• Collaborates with residents and healthcare team.
• Records administration of medications and patient condition changes.
• Monitors staff to follow safety regulations and state/government procedures.
• Operates nursing equipment and supplies per procedures.
• Performs other duties as directed.

The Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse will be responsible for resident care and directing nursing staff. The RN is expected to develop the plan of care and collaborate with physicians, therapists and nursing assistants. The RN will also monitor assigned staff to ensure that all safety regulations are upheld.

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least a graduate of a Licensed Vocational Nursing program.
• Candidates with a minimum of 2 years of in a Skilled Nursing Facility are preferred but not required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification as required by state.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures proper resident care is maintained in a clean and safe environment.
• Makes nursing diagnoses, which serve as the basis for the strategy of care
• Collaborates with the resident, members of the healthcare team
• Records the administration of medication or any change in patient condition
• Monitor assigned staff to ensure established safety regulations are followed and that all tasks are performed following all state and government regulations and safety procedures as outlined by the facility
• Follows procedures related to the use of nursing equipment and supplies
• Performs other duties as directed
