Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - Ambulatory Care Setting
We are currently seeking two dedicated and experienced Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to join our team-one for a full-time, on-site role at our North Dallas location and another to float between clinic sites. These positions offer the opportunity to work in a growing organization with a supportive team culture and full benefits.
Orientation :
The first two days of orientation will be in-person at our central office in Farmers Branch, TX.
Job Summary
The LVN will provide high-quality nursing care in an ambulatory healthcare setting. Under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel and physicians, the LVN will safely perform a variety of clinical and administrative duties, ensuring a smooth and effective experience for patients.
Essential Functions
Patient Care Duties :
Prepare patients for examination and obtain vital signs
Record medical history and health information
Perform EKGs and collect urine specimens
Administer injections and TB skin tests
Perform phlebotomy, blood sugar testing, and guaiac stool testing
Review medications with patients and provide appropriate documentation
Report patient concerns to supervising staff
Administrative and Clinical Operations :
Review and relay diagnostic reports to physicians
Handle patient calls and prescription refills professionally
Document medical records accurately and timely
Obtain insurance approvals for clinical testing
Assist with patient education and infection control protocols
Maintain awareness of policies and procedures
Communicate courteously with staff, patients, and families
Assist front office staff as needed
Maintain cleanliness and stock of exam and lab areas
Order supplies and manage medication / sample logs
Participate in staff meetings, quality improvement, and training initiatives
Qualifications
Must Have :
High School Diploma or equivalent
Current CPR / BLS Certification
Minimum 3 years of LVN experience
Preferred :
Previous clinical or hospital experience
Basic computer skills
Strong work tenure
