Qualifications

• Current Michigan Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) credential.
• Must be proficient in anesthesia, monitoring, surgery prep, and dentals.
• Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Team-oriented with willingness to support coworkers and goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and patient care.
• Perform and assist with laboratory testing, radiographs, blood draws, catheter placement, and other technical procedures.
• Monitor anesthesia and sedation, assist with surgical and dental procedures, and provide perioperative care.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by the attending veterinarian.
• Monitor hospitalized patients and recognize changes in condition.
• Educate clients on preventive care and home patient care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation.
• Keep treatment area clean, organized, and well-stocked.
• Practice safe animal handling and promote low-stress care.
• Communicate effectively with doctors, technicians, assistants, and front desk staff.
• Contribute to a positive team culture with accountability and reliability.
