Poulsbo Animal Clinic is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our team, supporting outpatient care and procedural services including surgery and dentistry. This full-time role blends exam room work, client communication, and hands-on procedural support in a dynamic general practice.

Ideal candidates are versatile, with 2+ years of technician experience, WA licensure in good standing, and strong skills in anesthesia, dentistry, radiography, and clinical record

Qualifications

• 2+ years of veterinary technician experience.
• Active and good-standing Licensed Veterinary Technician in Washington.
• Proficiency in anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery.
• Surgical assistance and aseptic technique.
• Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography.
• Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement.
• Radiology positioning and safety protocols.
• Medication administration and accurate drug calculations.
• Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostic testing.
• Accurate medical record documentation.
• Client education and communication.
• Effective teamwork and professional communication skills.
• Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
• Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
• Assisting in surgery
• Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography
• Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation
• Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
