Job summary
Ridgetop Animal Hospital in Silverdale, WA, is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join a busy practice with general and urgent care, advanced surgery, dentistry, and diversified medical cases. Our LVTs perform anesthesia, dentistry, and comprehensive patient care while collaborating with veterinarians and support staff.
The ideal candidate holds a Washington State Veterinary Technician License, enjoys both routine medicine and challenging cases, and shares a commitment to Fear Free,
Qualifications
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) with Washington state credentials.
- Strong patient care and clinical judgment, especially in anesthesia, dentistry, and nursing.
- Able to work across preventative care, urgent care, and surgical cases.
Responsibilities
- Induction, monitoring and recovery of anesthesia.
- Dentistry and dental procedures.
- IV catheter placement and venipuncture; laboratory diagnostics.
- Radiography and patient positioning.
- Medication administration and fluid therapy.
- Triage and same-day urgent care.
- Nursing and monitoring of hospitalized patients.
- Orthopedic and soft-tissue surgical support.
- Emergency nursing care and CPR when needed.
- Client education and communicating with team members.
- Mentoring veterinary assistants.
- Advocating Fear Free and low-stress patient care.
