Job summary

Veterinary Specialty Center Seattle in Lynnwood, WA is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our Surgery team. This full-time position supports veterinarians, assists with surgeries and anesthesia, and helps maintain high-quality patient care in a 24-hour Emergency and Specialty hospital.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid LVT/RVT/CVT license with 1–2 years of clinical experience and surgical experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician required—LVT/RVT/CVT.
• 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred.
• Must have surgical and anesthesia experience.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
• Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
• Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians.
• Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
• Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
• Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
• Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
• Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate starting at $27-38/ hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
