Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) - Surgery - Gig Harbor, WA - $1500 Sign-On Bonus

We are seeking an experienced licensed veterinary technician to join our team at Uptown Animal Hospital, a growing AAHA-accredited practice in Gig Harbor. Our hospital offers general practice and urgent care services, with in-house diagnostics, digital radiology, ultrasonography, an onsite pharmacy, and a state-of-the-art surgical suite. Essential Job Functions:

1. Triage and client education
2. Professional communication with clients and team members
3. Drug calculations and administration
4. Assist with anesthesia, surgery, IV catheter placement, phlebotomy, cystocentesis, and lab sample processing
5. Manage medical records and invoicing
6. Oversee hospitalized patients and communicate their status
7. Perform other veterinary nursing duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED
• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT) required
• 2-3 years of veterinary hospital experience required
• Experience with emergency or urgent care preferred
• Experience with Avimark software is a plus

Work Schedule and Compensation:

• Full-time, including weekends, holidays, and overtime
• 10-12 hour shifts, day and evening shifts
• Pay rate: $25-$32/hour; $1500 sign-on bonus after 90 days
