Job summary

Heartland Veterinary Partners LLC in Sherman, Texas, is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our passionate team at Texoma Veterinary Hospital. You will work closely with our veterinarians to provide exceptional patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing lab tests.

This role offers a sign-on bonus of $3,800 and a competitive pay range of $19.00 to $22.00 per hour. Our benefits include paid time off, health insurance, retirement options, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• State license to work as a certified/licensed/registered veterinary technician in state of desired employment.
• Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
• Practice OSHA safety techniques including proper PPE.
• Basic computer skills, familiarity with MS office applications, etc.
• Basic math and ability to calculate medication dosages.
• Strong communication skills to ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in the practice of veterinary medicine and surgery.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor vital signs during surgery.
• Obtain blood, stool, and other samples; perform in-hospital laboratory testing.
• Administer and monitor medications, anesthesia, vaccines, and treatments.
• Clean and maintain all medical equipment.
