Job summary

PetCure Oncology Seattle is seeking a licensed veterinary technician to join our radiation oncology team in Seattle, WA. The role focuses on anesthesia administration and monitoring, as well as compassionate patient care and strong client communication to support the radiation oncology service.

The ideal candidate has WA state licensure, 2 years veterinary experience (oncology a plus), phlebotomy experience, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of veterinary experience required, oncology experience a plus.
  • Licensed Veterinary Technician in WA state is required.
  • Phlebotomy experience required.
  • Experience in managing critical patients preferred.
  • Strong background in administering and monitoring anesthesia.

Full-time-4-day work week-NO holidays, NO on-call; 32-40 hours/week

PetCure Oncology, a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner, one of the most exciting and innovative veterinary oncology providers in the country, is seeking a unique, highly energized, compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician at our new Seattle location.

. The ideal candidate needs to be highly skilled in administering and monitoring anesthesia. This position will serve as the technician supporting the patients seen through the radiation oncology service. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, compassionate patient care, excellent client care and communication, and involvement in the department's growth.

Ideal Candidates
  • Required: 2 years of veterinary experience required, specialty hospital and/or oncology experience is a plus.
  • Required: Licensed Veterinary Technician in WA state
  • Phlebotomy experience required
  • Experience in managing critical patients preferred
  • Required: Strong background in administering and monitoring anesthesia
  • Ability to multi-task, adjust, and learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with great communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills and can learn and assimilate quickly to new computer applications - high level of technology as a cloud-based company.
  • Can fully use their technical skills, as well as learn from new experiences
  • Provide input and assist with all aspects of patient care
  • Promoting PetCure Oncology and SRS through education and participation in community and veterinary events and other duties according to company needs.
