Job summary

PetCure Oncology is hiring full-time Veterinary Technicians to join Thrive Pet Healthcare in Clifton, NJ. You will support radiation and medical oncology, monitor patients during treatment, run lab tests, and coordinate admissions and client care.

This role offers a four-day work week with no holidays or on-call requirements, and a $1,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care).
  • CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) strongly preferred.
  • Veterinary chemotherapy/radiation oncology experience preferred but not required.
  • Has strong anesthesia skills and can monitor BP, ECG, SpO2, ETCO2 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors.

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled technical support for radiation oncology and medical oncology procedures.
  • Monitor patients throughout treatment.
  • Perform laboratory testing.
  • Coordinate admissions, discharges, and client support.

PetCure Oncology is looking for full-time Veterinary Technicians to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community in Clifton, NJ. $1,000 Sign-On Bonus Available!

About You

You’ll play an important role in pets’ lives delivering exceptional care to patients undergoing advanced cancer treatment. Your meaningful work will range from providing skilled technical support for radiation oncology and medical oncology procedures, monitoring patients throughout treatment, and performing laboratory testing, to coordinating essential patient care services including admissions, discharges, and client support.

Your Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 2+ years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care)
  • CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) strongly preferred
  • Veterinary Chemotherapy/Radiation Oncology experience preferred but not required
  • Has strong anesthesia skills (Able to obtain Blood pressure, ECG, Sp02, and ETC02 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care)
  • Possesses a positive work attitude
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent communication and organization skills

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and credentials, with an expected starting rate of $30 - $35 / hour
