Job summary

Pets R Family Veterinary Hospital in Florida is seeking a skilled, confident Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our team. We are a large, busy practice with a diverse caseload where an experienced technician can be hands-on in patient care and contribute beyond routine tasks.

The ideal candidate holds a current LVT license (or eligibility), thrives in a fast-paced environment, and collaborates with doctors, teammates, and clients.

Qualifications

• Hold a current veterinary technician license or are eligible for licensure.
• Experience in a busy veterinary hospital is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication with doctors, teammates, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist with medicine, patient care, and procedures.
• Provide client education and maintain hospital flow.
• Participate in anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery.
• Support doctors during appointments and procedures.

Pets R Family is looking for a skilled, confident Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our team!
We are a large, busy veterinary practice with a diverse caseload and plenty of opportunities for an experienced technician to put their skills to work. If you're the kind of technician who likes staying busy, being hands-on, and playing an important role in patient care, you may be exactly who we're looking for.
There is a lot happening at Pets R Family, which means our technicians have the opportunity to do much more than simply hold pets and clean rooms. We want our LVTs involved in medicine, patient care, procedures, client education, and keeping the hospital moving.

Put Your Technician Skills to Work
Depending on your experience and comfort level, you'll have the opportunity to work with:

• Venipuncture and IV catheter placement
• Patient restraint and safe, compassionate handling
• Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostics
• Digital radiography
• Anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
• Surgical preparation and assistance
• Dentistry and dental radiography
• Medication administration and patient treatments
• Hospitalized patient nursing care
• Pharmacy and prescription support
• Medical record documentation
• Client education and communication
• Preventive care and treatment recommendations
• Supporting doctors throughout appointments and procedures
• Maintaining efficient patient flow throughout a busy hospital

Compensation & Benefits
$22–$24 per hour, based on experience and skill set.
Full-time team members are eligible for benefits and have the opportunity to grow their skills while working alongside an experienced veterinary team.
