Job summary

Small Door is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our Manhattan-based clinics and growth across markets. You will triage patients, record vitals, assist doctors with diagnostics and prepare medications, while maintaining a high level of client communication and compassionate care.

We value teamwork in state-of-the-art facilities, with a 24/7 telehealth team and supportive call center.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as an LVT in a GP setting.
• Availability to work weekends (Saturday or Sunday).
• Comfortable with computers and online tools.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• A thoughtful and fearless team player.

Responsibilities

• Triaging patients and assisting doctors with exams and treatments.
• Recording vitals and assisting with diagnostics.
• Administering and preparing medications as instructed.
• Placing catheters and taking blood samples.
• Assisting in radiography and preparing samples for labs.
• Monitoring patients and providing compassionate care.
• Maintaining a hospitable environment for clients and pets.

What you’ll do

• Triaging
• Knowledge and ability to recognize medical emergencies and illnesses
• Assessing patients
• Recording vitals and assisting doctors with diagnostics
• Completing treatments as instructed by the doctor
• Basic husbandry and nursing care
• Monitoring changes in patients and providing compassionate care

• Running in‑house labs
