BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring an exceptional Neurology Veterinary Technician for our Johns Creek, GA, location!

Please note that training for this position will take place at our hospital in Sandy Springs.

Pay: $21 - $42 / hour

This pay band is a starting point and depends on experience and advancement through our Kahuna leveling system.

Schedule: Sunday-Wednesday, 7:00 am-5:00 pm, plus on-call and holiday shifts.

As a Neurology Veterinary Technician, you will:

1. Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).
2. Calculate all medical math, including advanced calculations and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc.).
3. Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia.
4. Set up for MRI and CT procedures.
5. Discharge neuro patients from the hospital, including client education such as manual bladder expression, sling walking, range of motion, etc. Provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards.
6. Perform callbacks and refill medications.
7. Gather patient histories, communicate findings to clinicians, and educate clients.
8. Perform physical exams, including vital signs such as heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, mucous membranes, and capillary refill time.
9. Understand normal vital parameters.
10. Be comfortable with IVC placement and venipuncture.
11. Operate all brands of intravenous fluid pumps and troubleshoot errors.
12. Restrain patients during consultations and diagnostics.
