At AmeriVet's St. Georges Veterinary Hospital in Avenel, NJ, we seek a full-time Veterinary Technician to support vets in exams, treatments, and surgeries. You will handle animals safely, place IV catheters, draw blood, run bloodwork, and educate clients.

Collaboration with a dedicated team is essential, with opportunities for growth. Experience with x-ray positioning and proper animal restraint is expected, and licensure eligibility or CVT/RVT/LVT certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant.
• Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred or eligible to obtain licensure.

Responsabilités

• Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.
• Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.
• Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.
• Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
