Job summary

Pet Emergency Treatment (PET AK) in Anchorage, AK seeks a Licensed Veterinary Technician for our ER team. This full-time role offers shifts around the clock, overtime pay, and a sign-on bonus up to $5,000 plus relocation support.

We’re a high-volume, AAHA-accredited emergency hospital where autonomy and teamwork define daily practice. Experience in emergency settings is valued, with a supportive, patient-centered culture for growth.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of veterinary technician experience; emergency experience preferred but not required.
  • LVT credential/licensure highly preferred.
  • Willingness to work overnights and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency nursing care in alignment with doctors' orders.
  • Perform triage of incoming patients, assess urgency and stabilize as needed.
  • Accurately calculate and administer medications.
  • Conduct in-house lab work, sampling, and analysis.
  • Place and manage IV catheters, monitor anesthesia, and monitor vital signs.
  • Manage patient comfort, monitor recovery, and communicate progress to clients.
  • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams.
  • Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture.

Licensed Veterinary Technician, Emergency - Pet Emergency Treatment Inc.

$28.00–$33.00/hr + Overtime Compensation + Sign-On Bonus Up To $5,000 + Relocation Bonus

Full-time opportunity in Anchorage, AK

Schedule: Various shifts available (6am–6pm, 6pm–6am, or 12pm–12am). Weekend availability required (either Saturday or Sunday). Full-time role: 36–40 hours per week.

In your day-to-day, you will:

What You Bring
  • A minimum of one year of veterinary technician experience; emergency experience is preferred but not strictly required
  • Veterinary Technician credential (LVT) or licensure, highly preferred
  • Willingness and ability to work overnights and weekends
  • Adaptability, attention to detail, and the ability to stay composed under pressure
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care, with a compassionate, energetic mindset and strong communication and teamwork skills
