Job summary

Ethos Veterinary Health's PET AK in Anchorage, Alaska seeks a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) for a fast-paced surgical environment. This full-time role offers 36–40 hours per week with 10-hour daytime shifts and pay of $23.00–$33.00 per hour, plus a sign-on or relocation bonus and a $1,000 CE allowance.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year veterinary technician experience in surgical or emergency setting.
  • Credentialed technician preferred but not required.
  • Experience with anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery.
  • Proficiency in surgical prep, instrument handling and sterilization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide surgical and nursing care in alignment with doctor's orders.
  • Prepare patients, surgical suites, and instruments for procedures using aseptic technique.
  • Assist veterinarians during surgical and specialty procedures.
  • Induce, monitor, and recover patients under anesthesia.
  • Place IV catheters.
  • Calculate and administer medications.
  • Perform in-house lab work and sample analysis.
  • Support patient comfort and communicate updates with clients.
  • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams.

In your day-to-day, you will:

What You Bring


  • At least 1 year of veterinary technician experience,in a surgical or emergency setting

  • Credentialed Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT) highly preferred, not required

  • Experience with anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery

  • Proficiency in surgical prep,instrument handling and sterilization

  • Organized, compassionate, and calm under pressure
