Job summary

Yorktown Veterinary Associates, a well-established veterinary hospital in Yorktown Heights, NY, seeks an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join a compassionate team. This role supports anesthesia, dentistry, diagnostics, and client education, with a strong emphasis on calm, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

Active NY Licensed Veterinary Technician or licensed-eligible veterinary assistant.
Collaborative team player in a busy small animal environment.
Interest in anesthesia, dentistry, diagnostics, surgery, and client education.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate patient care, restraint, and triage for incoming veterinary cases.
Collect and analyze lab samples (blood, urine, fecal, skin specimens).
Support diagnostic imaging, digital radiology, and radiographic positioning.
Assist with surgical preparation, anesthesia, monitoring, and recovery.
Deliver nursing care for medical and hospitalized patients with varying needs.
Communicate treatment plans clearly with clients and document medical records.
Educate pet owners on preventive care and diabetes management.
Collaborate with doctors, technicians, assistants, and client service teammates.
