Yorktown Veterinary Associates, a well-established veterinary hospital in Yorktown Heights, NY, seeks an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join a compassionate team. This role supports anesthesia, dentistry, diagnostics, and client education, with a strong emphasis on calm, patient-centered care.

• Active NY Licensed Veterinary Technician or licensed-eligible veterinary assistant.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient care, restraint, and triage for incoming veterinary cases.
• Collect and analyze lab samples (blood, urine, fecal, skin specimens).
• Support diagnostic imaging, digital radiology, and radiographic positioning.
• Assist with surgical preparation, anesthesia, monitoring, and recovery.
• Deliver nursing care for medical and hospitalized patients with varying needs.
• Communicate treatment plans clearly with clients and document medical records.
• Educate pet owners on preventive care and diabetes management.
• Collaborate with doctors, technicians, assistants, and client service teammates.

• An active Licensed Veterinary Technicianin New York or an experienced license-eligible veterinary assistant.

• Someone comfortable in a busy small animal veterinary environment.
• Strong interest in anesthesia, dentistry, diagnostics, surgery, and client education.
• Reliability, punctuality, and availability for some Saturday shifts.
• A calm, low-stress handling approach and a desire to make visits better for pets.
• Curiosity, professionalism, and a commitment to continuous learning.

Additional Information

We have options for either a full-time or part-time position

***$2,000 Sign-On Bonus Available***

Pay Range:$30 - 35/hr. depending on level of experience.
