Job summary

Watt Avenue Pet Hospital in Sacramento, CA seeks a veterinary professional to perform dentistry, extractions, anesthesia monitoring, and related patient care. The role requires in-room restraint, blood draws, and accurate record keeping in a busy, in-person setting.

The successful candidate will handle digital radiography, IDEXX in-house lab work, and client education while maintaining clean exam rooms and inventory control. This is a full-time, in-person position with benefits.

Qualifications

• 4 years veterinary experience preferred.
• Proficient in dentistry and extractions.
• Experience with IDEXX in-house lab and digital x-ray is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform dentistry, extractions, and IV catheter placement.
• Monitor anesthesia during procedures and recoveries.
• Conduct blood draws and operate IDEXX in-house lab and digital x-ray.
• Maintain exam rooms and restrain dogs and cats as needed.
• Ensure disinfection, inventory control, and accurate drug logging (CURES).
• Maintain records and educate clients on care and post‑op instructions.
