Zoetis, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to provide animal research support at the Kalamazoo and Richland sites. Primary care involves companion animals with duties spanning clinical observations, anesthesia, and surgical support.
You will train staff, manage colony health records, handle regulatory paperwork, and perform diagnostic testing and data entry in EMR systems within a veterinary services team.
This position is responsible for providing animal research technician support in a Pharmaceutical research environment at the Zoetis Kalamazoo and Richland site(s). Primary species of responsibility are companion animals (canine/feline) but could include other species (rodent/poultry/bovine/swine/equine).
The Licensed Veterinary Technician will be in Animal Research Support, as a part of the Veterinary Services team. This role will support veterinary services and job duties may include:
Travel between sites may be required as needed for site coverage.
May be required to work with zoonotic animal pathogens and chemicals. There may be handling of zoonotic organisms and working in both ABSL-2 facilities requiring showering in/out procedures.
