Job summary

Liberty Pet Hospital in Powell, OH is hiring a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our compassionate team. This on-site role supports dogs and cats across wellness, urgent care, and surgical services, requiring a strong focus on safety and family-friendly care.

The ideal candidate holds an Ohio RVT license (or eligibility to transfer within 3 months) with 2+ years of clinical experience, solid animal handling, dental skills, radiology, and anesthesia monitoring.

• Must hold an active Ohio RVT license or be eligible to transfer within 3 months of hire.
• Minimum 2+ years of veterinary clinical experience as a technician or assistant.
• Proficient in dental procedures, anesthesia monitoring, radiology and lab techniques.

Job description

We are currently looking to hire a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team at Liberty Pet Hospital in Powell, Ohio!

Location:

8730 Moreland St F Ste F, Powell, OH 43065

Salary:

$20-25/ hour, depending on experience

Who You Are

• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in Ohio, or eligible to transfer/acquire state license within 3 months of hire
• 2 + years of veterinary clinical experience, as a veterinary technician or assistant
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
• Passion for working with animals and their owners
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
• Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
• Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
• Dental Experience, scaling, polishing, charting, radiographs
• Skilled in phlebotomy, IV Catheter placement, applying casts, bandages and splints
• Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience including intubation, monitoring, pre-operative and post-operative care
• Confident with medical math and drug calculations
• Laboratory skills including cytology set-up and interpretation
• Diagnostic experience including digital radiology, dental radiology, and ultrasound-guided cystocentesis
• And all other duties of a Registered Veterinary Technician as allowable by law
