Lisbon Road Animal Hospital is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our Saturday urgent care team in Lewiston, Maine. You will deliver triage, stabilization, and critical care under a veterinarian’s supervision while working in a fast-paced, supportive clinic environment.

The role emphasizes 1–2 Saturdays per month with no requirement to staff every Saturday, offering a flexible, part-time schedule and exposure to a diverse caseload including small animals and exotics.

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) required.
• Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
• Current state license in good standing; one year in vet setting preferred.

Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) – Saturday Urgent Care

Lisbon Road Animal Hospital | Lewiston, Maine
Pay: $23–$26 per hour + $5/hour Saturday differential

Looking for a veterinary position that lets you use your clinical skills without committing to a full-time schedule? Lisbon Road Animal Hospital is looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Saturday urgent care team!

This is a great opportunity for an experienced LVT who enjoys a fast-paced environment and wants a change of pace from traditional general practice. You'll help care for patients who need prompt medical attention while working alongside a supportive, experienced medical team.

The best part? We're looking for coverage just 1–2 Saturdays per month. You do not have to commit to every Saturday!

What We're Looking For

Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)

Previous veterinary hospital experience, ideally in general practice, emergency, or urgent care

Proficiency in IV catheter placement and venipuncture

Experience with anesthesia induction and surgical monitoring

Confidence with surgical patient recovery

Ability to prioritize cases and assist with patient triage

Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

A calm, proactive approach to patient care in a busy environment
