VCA Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center of Kalamazoo is a 24/7/365 emergency, critical care and specialty practice seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician for a part-time role in Portage, MI. The position offers flexible scheduling and a supportive team culture focused on high-quality patient care.

You will assist with anesthesia monitoring, histories, exams, venipuncture, radiology and teamwork across hospital services, delivering compassionate care to every patient.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Veterinary Technician preferred.
• Ability to monitor anesthesia and support procedures.
• Comfort with venipuncture and patient handling.

Responsibilities

• Monitor anesthesia during procedures and surgeries.
• Collect patient histories and perform physical exams.
• Perform venipuncture and IV placement as needed.
• Operate radiology equipment with hands-free safety practices.
• Collaborate with doctors and hospital staff to ensure patient care.
• Provide compassionate care to all patients.

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team part-time.

Veterinary Technician Duties:

• Anesthesia monitoring

• Collecting patient histories & physical exams

• Venipuncture / IVC placement

• Hands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority)

• Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services

• Providing compassionate care for all patients

Compensation: $24 - $33 / hour dependent on experience and skill set

In this position you will be supporting our Doctors team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients.
