Elko Veterinary Clinic is seeking Licensed Veterinary Technicians to join our busy mixed‑animal practice in Elko, NV. Full‑time or part‑time shifts are available, and new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in Nevada or eligible to transfer within 3 months of hire.
• 2+ years of veterinary clinical experience, preferably as a technician or assistant.
• AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
• Passion for working with large and small animals, birds, exotics, and their owners.
• Experience with animal handling and restraint for multiple species.
• Nursing care within clinical/hospital or ranch settings.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Dental procedures experience including scaling, polishing, extractions, suturing.
• IV catheter placement, urinary catheter placement, casts, bandages, splints.
• Anesthesia monitoring and surgical assistance including intubation and post-operative care.
• Cytology setup and interpretation, and radiology skills.
• Includes all duties of LVT as allowed by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and patient support in a busy mixed animal practice.
• Assist with anesthesia monitoring during procedures and post-operative care.
• Perform IV catheter placement and supportive care as needed.
• Assist with dental cleanings, extractions, and radiographic imaging.
• Maintain accurate patient records and communicate with owners.
• Ensure safe handling and restraint of diverse animal species.

Our busy, full‑service mixed animal practice is seeking dedicated team members who are looking to utilize their skills and knowledge. Full‑time or Part‑time shifts available. Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, certifications, licensure, and location.
• Schedule: Full‑time, four 10‑hour shifts per week. Primarily weekdays with rotating weekend support. Part‑time, flexible scheduling, including weekend coverage.
• On‑Call: After hours, rotating, on‑call scheduling required.
• Location: 1052 Colt Dr, Elko, NV 89801.
• Additional Benefits: Continuing education allowance (up to $1,000 annually), license reimbursement, scrub allowance, relocation assistance for qualified applicants.

Who You Are

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in Nevada, or eligible to transfer/acquire state license within 3 months of hire.
• 2+ years of veterinary clinical experience, preferably as a veterinary technician or assistant.
• Degree from an AVMA‑accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
• Passion for working with large and small animals, birds, exotics, and their owners.
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint for a variety of species.
• Ability to perform nursing care in a hospital or ranch setting.
• Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare.
• Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Dental procedure experience, scaling, polishing, extractions, suturing.
• Skilled in IV catheter placement, urinary catheter placement, applying casts, bandages and splints.
• Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience including intubation, monitoring, pre‑operative and post‑operative care.
• Laboratory skills including cytology set‑up and interpretation.
• Diagnostic experience including digital radiology, dental radiology, and ultrasound‑guided cystocentesis.
• And all other duties of a Licensed Veterinary Technician as allowable by law.
