Job summary

Wright’s Corners Animal Care Center in New York is hiring a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our care team. You will triage patients, assist veterinarians, and provide comprehensive nursing care from intake to discharge in a fast-paced animal hospital setting.

We seek a licensed tech with strong clinical and client-communication skills, capable of anesthesia monitoring, lab work, radiology, and surgery support, all while upholding Fear Free patient-handling and exceptional pet care

Qualifications

• Current veterinary technician license required.
• Strong clinical, technical, and patient-nursing skills.
• Confidence with anesthesia monitoring, laboratory procedures, radiology, surgery, and dentistry.
• A passion for pets and high-quality veterinary care.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients and obtain thorough histories, vital signs, and patient assessments.
• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care from patient intake through discharge.
• Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
• Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection.
• Obtain high-quality radiographs while maintaining hospital imaging standards.
• Run in-house laboratory testing, including CBC and chemistry panels, urinalysis, cytology, and fecal testing.
• Support surgical and dental procedures, including preparation, monitoring, recovery, and instrument care.

What You’ll Do
