Taylor Animal Hospital in Cleveland, TN is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician (LVMT) to join our 5-doctor practice. You will assist with patient care, radiology, anesthesia support, and client communication in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in a small animal general practice is ideal, but skills can be taught.
• Antech, IDEXX, digital and dental radiology knowledge.
• Excellent communication and customer relation skills.
• Surgical experience (IV catheter placement and blood draws).
• Canine handling; cat handling knowledge.
• Preventive care knowledge.
• Handle difficult conversations (cost, euthanasia, medical needs).
• Customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Motivated to learn and continue education.
• Timely and focused; patient wellbeing in focus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor hospitalized pets; monitor/aid after surgery
• Maintain inventory and stocking
• Restrain animals during blood draws and nail trims

• Maintain & sterilize surgical instruments/equipment
• Clean/Disinfect cages, kennels, exam and treatment areas
• Administer medications under Veterinarian supervision

The ideal TAH LVMT :

• Experience in a small animal general practice setting is ideal, but the skills and experience can be taught and shared with the right candidate.

Job Description, duties and expectations:

• Assist with patient care and treatment

Starting wage is based on Experience - License - Surgical Skills and Urgent Care knowledge.
