Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician for Stone Ridge Veterinary Hospital in Rochester, NY. This full-time role includes 30–40 hours per week with day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, including one weekend.

Responsibilities include assisting veterinarians, monitoring patient status, collecting samples, placing catheters, and educating clients. Applicants must hold VT licensure and have 1–2 years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed veterinary technician required.
• 1–2 years of clinical experience.
• An AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program degree preferred, or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality care and educate clients.
• Assist with surgeries and monitor patient status.
• Collect blood and other samples for testing; place catheters.
• Maintain comprehensive medical records and communicate with clients.
