Job summary

VCA SouthPaws Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Center in Fairfax, VA is seeking licensed veterinary technicians to join our Surgery team. You will monitor anesthesia, assist with radiographs and venipuncture, and collaborate with board-certified surgeons and a VTS in Anesthesia and Analgesia.

This full-time position offers four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts per week, plus up to four to six on-call shifts per month with competitive pay and extensive benefits including mental health

Qualifications

• Comfortable with monitoring anesthesia, taking radiographs, venipuncture, effective patient monitoring and administering medications.
• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) with strong patient advocacy and care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures.
• Perform radiographs and venipuncture as needed.
• Collaborate with VTS in Anesthesia and Analgesia and board-certified surgeons.
• Cross-train with other departments as needed.
