Job summary
Virginia Veterinary Specialty & Emergency in Charlottesville, VA seeks a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to support the Surgery Department with anesthesia and patient care. This full-time role offers four 10-hour shifts weekly, collaboration with board-certified specialists, and opportunities to cross-train across areas while maintaining a high standard of compassionate care.

Qualifications
- Associates degree or higher in veterinary technology.
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in Virginia in good standing.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform nursing procedures including restraint, postoperative care, wound management, and bandaging.
- Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures and anesthesia administration.
- Provide emergency and critical care nursing, CPR, fluids, oxygen therapy, transfusions.
- Conduct diagnostic tests (cytology, hematology, serology, urinalysis).
- Operate diagnostic tools (BP, ECG, oximetry, imaging).
- Prepare specimens and maintain lab equipment; manage medical records in Instinct.
