Job summary

Pets R Family Veterinary Hospital in Saint Johns, Florida, is seeking a skilled Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join a large, busy practice with a diverse caseload. You will be hands-on in medicine, patient care, and client education, with opportunities to participate in procedures and hospital operations.

We offer a full-time position with competitive hourly pay of $22–$24, depending on experience and skill set, and full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current veterinary technician license or be eligible for licensure.
• Strong veterinary technical and nursing skills.
• Ability to work independently within scope while collaborating with the team.
• Ability to prioritize and adapt when the hospital is busy.
• Clear communication with doctors, teammates and clients.
• Initiative to learn and contribute to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Venipuncture and IV catheter placement.
• Patient restraint and safe handling.
• Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostics.
• Digital radiography and dentistry.
• Anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery.
• Surgical preparation and assistance.
• Medication administration and patient treatments.
• Hospitalized patient nursing care and client education.
