Job summary

Arnold Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to deliver high-quality nursing care in a small-animal focused setting. You will assist veterinarians, monitor anesthesia, and support client education to enhance the patient and owner experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed/Certified/Registered Veterinary Technician credential required.
• Strong client education, anesthesia monitoring, and dentistry skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle animals up to 130 pounds.
• Proven team player with excellent communication.
• Proficiency with veterinary practice software.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to hospitalized patients, including IV placement and monitoring.
• Assist in surgical procedures and recovery with proper restraint.
• Support veterinarians during exams, diagnostics, and treatments.
• Perform laboratory diagnostics and document results.
• Operate radiology and ultrasound equipment safely.
• Prepare and administer medications and vaccines per regulations.
• Maintain controlled drug logs and proper storage.
• Document treatment plans and support medical records.
• Educate clients on preventive care and medications.
• Maintain sterile, organized treatment and surgical areas.
• Monitor inventory and assist with supply orders.
• Collaborate across departments to promote a positive culture.
• Train unlicensed staff and contribute to growth mindset.
• Ensure compliance with state acts and hospital policies.
