Job summary

KIPP Memphis Collegiate Middle is seeking a dedicated ELA teacher to deliver rigorous instruction within our charter school framework in Memphis, TN. Reporting to the Principal, the teacher will plan lessons aligned with the curriculum and promote a college-preparatory culture to help students prepare for college and beyond.

The role requires active Tennessee licensure, a Bachelor's degree, and preferably a Master’s in education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree in education or teaching content area preferred.
• Active Tennessee state licensure and endorsement matching subject area & grade band required.

Responsibilities

• Plan a program of study and unit/weekly/daily lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for students.
• Use varied instructional techniques and media to meet student needs.
• Implement the school's philosophy and curriculum across instruction.
• Use diagnostic assessments to identify learning strengths and needs.
