Job summary

Olsson, a national engineering firm, seeks a Licensed Traffic Engineer to lead studies for data center projects across the United States from our Colorado office. You will oversee traffic analyses, develop technical recommendations, and coordinate with clients, agencies, and multi-disciplinary teams to support planning, permitting, and design.

Candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree, a PE license, and 4+ years in traffic engineering, with experience in traffic impact studies and coordination

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• PTOE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 4 years of traffic or transportation engineering experience.
• Experience preparing traffic impact studies, transportation analyses, or traffic operations evaluations, and/or traffic design.

Responsibilities

• Lead various stages of traffic and transportation analysis and design for data center developments across the United States.
• Analyze transportation data and roadway operations to assess site access, circulation, traffic impacts, and infrastructure needs.
• Prepare and review technical reports, exhibits, and recommendations that support project planning, permitting, and design efforts.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and serve as a technical resource during project development, client coordination, and agency discussions.
• Apply sound engineering judgment, industry standards, and regulatory requirements while managing multiple project responsibilities and deliverables.
• Training and mentoring EIT staff on traffic engineering and project management principles.
