Job summary

Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare in Flowood, MS is seeking a Licensed Therapist for our Outpatient/PHP department. This PRN weekend and evening position requires providing direct and indirect social services, including group therapy and discharge planning, with documentation in accordance with hospital standards.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s Degree and an MSW/LCSW/LMSW/LPC license in Mississippi, plus 2 years of psychiatric experience; LMSW with 4 years is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university; Mississippi license as LCSW/LMSW/LPC; two years’ experience in a psychiatric setting.
• Preferred: LMSW and four years experience in a psychiatric setting

Responsibilities

• Plans, provides, coordinates, documents and evaluates social services for patients.
• Includes group therapy (in person or virtual), case management, discharge planning, and meetings with the family.
• Maintains documentation on all required admission, treatment, and discharge documents in accordance with hospital standards and requirements of regulatory bodies.
• Develops and implements with other clinical staff the Master Treatment Plan and updates as needed. Carries out treatment as outlined in the Master Treatment Plan for social services regarding scope range of practice.
• Collaborates with the physician and the family to ensure that all aspects of the therapeutic process are implemented and carried out.
