Job summary

Communicate & Connect Counseling is seeking licensed therapists to provide specialized therapy services in couples counseling and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). The role requires commitment to professional growth and a focus on relational therapy within a supportive team environment.

Clinical Environment & Practice Support

Therapists at Communicate & Connect Counseling are supported by a practice environment designed to allow clinicians to focus on meaningful clinical work.

Our practice provides:

• beautifully designed office spaces in prime locations
• consistent client referrals
• administrative staff who assist with billing and scheduling
• support for both in‑person and telehealth sessions
• ongoing Emotionally Focused Therapy group consultation (currently Mondays at 12 PM)
• consultation with other relationship‑focused clinicians
• opportunities for additional psychotherapy training (including EFT and related modalities)
• opportunities to provide supervision to interns, provisionally licensed clinicians, and therapists pursuing EFT certification

Role & Responsibilities

Licensed therapists at Communicate & Connect Counseling provide therapy services within a collaborative practice specializing in relationship counseling and Emotionally Focused Therapy.

Responsibilities include:

• providing individual therapy, couples counseling, and family therapy
• conducting relational and attachment‑focused assessments
• developing attachment‑based treatment plans
• maintaining ethical and timely clinical documentation
• participating in clinical consultation and team collaboration
• contributing to a supportive clinical culture focused on therapist growth

This role is well suited for clinicians who want to develop advanced clinical skill in couples therapy and relational work.

Clinical Orientation

Communicate & Connect Counseling is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an evidence‑based model of couples therapy developed by Dr. Sue Johnson.

Our clinical work draws from:

• Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT)
• Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT)
• Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT)
• attachment science
• trauma‑informed relational therapy

Many clinicians also integrate additional modalities consistent with their training and experience.

Applicants must have completed the ICEEFT Emotionally Focused Therapy Externship prior to applying.

Communicate & Connect Counseling operates using structured clinical shifts to support predictable scheduling for both clinicians and clients.

Available Shifts

Monday – Friday

8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
2:30 PM – 8:30 PM

Saturday & Sunday

9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Each shift is 6 hours, with the expectation that clinicians complete 5 clinical sessions during the shift.

The remaining time allows for:

• documentation
• preparation for sessions

Clinicians typically commit to:

• a minimum of 3 shifts per week
• at least one evening or weekend shift

All clinicians provide therapy in person at our office locations, though some clients may choose telehealth sessions. Fully remote positions are not available.

Compensation

Communicate & Connect Counseling uses a transparent hourly compensation structure. Our compensation model is designed to be clear and predictable so clinicians understand how their work translates into income.

Clinical Session Rates

Licensed therapists receive:

$78 per clinical hour

Administrative time including meetings, documentation, supervision participation, and trainings is compensated at:

$20 per hour

Certified EFT Therapists

Clinicians who complete ICEEFT Certification in Emotionally Focused Therapy receive:

$101 per clinical hour

This increased rate reflects the advanced specialization required for certification and supports clinicians who pursue deeper expertise in EFT.

Additional compensation rates are available for clinicians who provide supervision based on their level of EFT training and clinical experience.

Supervision roles may include:

• supervising graduate student interns
• providing licensure supervision for provisionally licensed clinicians
• mentoring clinicians pursuing ICEEFT certification

These opportunities allow experienced therapists to contribute to the training environment while further developing leadership within the practice.

Training & Professional Growth

Communicate & Connect Counseling places strong emphasis on continued professional development and clinical excellence.

Weekly EFT Group Supervision

Mondays at 12:00 PM EST

Consultation focuses on:

• attachment‑based case conceptualization
• experiential EFT interventions
• therapist presence and use‑of‑self
• navigating complex couples therapy dynamics

These consultation groups provide space for both clinical learning and professional support in the challenges of couples work.

Monthly Staff Meetings

Staff meetings include:

• clinical consultation
• practice updates

Quarterly Continuing Education

Quarterly meetings feature guest speakers providing CEU trainings.

Licensed clinicians may also pursue:

• ICEEFT certification in Emotionally Focused Therapy
• leadership roles within consultation groups
• clinical supervision pathways
• advanced relational therapy training
